Charles University

Charles University is the most important Czech university and one of the oldest university in Europe. It currently has 17 faculties (14 in Prague, 2 in Hradec Králové and 1 in Pilsen). Approximately 8000 students graduates annually and is one of the five European universities that enjoy the greatest interest of foreign students under the Erasmus+ programme. It is a member of the prestigious 4EU+ university alliance of seven top European universities (together with the Sorbonne in Paris, the University of Heidelberg, the University of Copenhagen, the University of Milan, the University of Warsaw and the University of Geneva). According to the QS World University Rankings 2024, Charles University is the only Czech university among the top 250 universities and thus ranks among the top 1.5% of educational institutions in the world.

At this year's Researchers' night, you can once again look forward to a wide range of lectures, workshops, and experiments—this time on the theme of Wealth! The program will take place at several locations in Prague and at our faculties in Hradec Králové. The Faculty of Medicine in Plzeň has prepared lectures accompanied by an exhibition at Café Regner in the center of Plzeň. A special feature is the children's afternoon program at the Didaktikon in the Hybernská Campus in Prague.
