Side channels: from poker and Sherlock to password cracking

Obtaining information through side channels - unintendedly - is relatively common in our society. However, in the context of computer security and cryptography, they can lead to a number of dangerous attacks on the systems that we use every day. Therefore, it is important to find and remove side channels. In this presentation we will show you how to break into someone else's bank account with the help of seemingly innocent information about time.
