Commented presentation

Drones are increasingly being applied in various areas of our lives and in recent years there has also been a growing interest in 3D reconstruction of buildings or environments. Compared to ground-based drones, drones have the advantage that they can move around in space much more easily and get into hard-to-reach places. Therefore, they are also being deployed for search and rescue operations. How can a drone explore an area and create a map of it? What are the specific types of sensors used there?

The commented demonstration has been prepared for you by Mgr. Marek Malina from the Department of Informatics and Computers, Faculty of Science.
