Drones are increasingly being applied in various areas of our lives and in recent years there has also been a growing interest in 3D reconstruction of buildings or environments. Compared to ground-based drones, drones have the advantage that they can move around in space much more easily and get into hard-to-reach places. Therefore, they are also being deployed for search and rescue operations. How can a drone explore an area and create a map of it? What are the specific types of sensors used there?
